Cone Wicker Chair
This chair is a classic piece from the 1950s, designed by British designer Terence Conran (founder of British furniture brand Habitat), and it perfectly reflects the ingenious spirit of post-war modernism when the use of cheap materials and old techniques was put to good use.
This chair is entirely handmade by a basketweave artisan in the north of Portugal. The chair consists of a black-painted iron frame where a large light-colored wicker cane cone seat fits. The two pieces are very resistant, which allows them to be used both inside and outdoors. They’re also perfectly pliable which makes them easy to move around the house or to store when not being used.
To add more comfort to the chair, we developed a round linen pillow, especially for it. This cushion is wool-filled, with a case of cotton/linen fabric, making it an anti-allergic 100% natural item. You can choose under options to add this cushion to your chair purchase if you wish.
